In 2011,
Dave starred as Proffessor Callaghan in the
first national tour of "Legally Blonde". The show had great reviews wherever it went and Dave was of course frequently mentioned. These are just some of the reviews Dave Willetts brings all his stage musical experience to the sketchily-written role of Proffessor Callahan, the hard taskmaster of a tutor revealed as a nasty sexist. Steve Pratt - Theatrecritics Dave Willetts excels as cynical lawyer Callahan in "Blood in the Water". Charles Hutchinson - York
Snaps, too,
for Dave Willetts's exceptional performance as Professor Callahan.
His villainy is smooth and intuitive, genuinely frightening in its
authoritarian stance and imposingly holding his own in a grey suit
amidst a stage full of bare chests and cheerleader choreography.
Dave Willetts
is in fine form as hard edged law Professor Callahan.
...arrogant,
hand-wandering law firm boss Professor Callahan, a role that
is easy work for leading musical theatre star Dave Willetts. Dave Willetts brings a much-needed dark edge to Professor Callahan's character. His more menacing character choices really strengthen a role that can be easily lost. - Back Stage Pass Dave Willetts dominates the stage as the hard-nosed law lecturer Professor Callahan, giving the younger cast more than a run for their money. - Diane Parkes, Birmingham Dave Willetts steps into Professor Callahan's ruthless shoes with ease. After a near-Shakespearean entrance, the popular city star commands the audience's attention with his effortless deep voice, tackles an uncomfortable scene with grace and leaves everyone despising him...as planned. - Coventry Evening Telegraph As Harvard's Professor Callahan, a man with a fearsome reputation, Dave Willetts brings style and edge to 'Blood in the Water'. - Anne Broom - Western Morning News
Always meant to be staged on a small scale, the show follows the obsession of 17 year old Alex for a provincial actress, Rose. She abandons him to live with his dashing uncle, Sir George Dillingham, who in turn is involved with an Italian sculptress, Giulietta. The appearance of Jenny, the daughter of Rose and George, brings yet another aspect of love into the tangled web. The love story spans some 20 years as the lives and loves of the protagonists continue to intertwine.

The audience at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry were
treated to Dave in concert, accompanied by a trio (Barrry Todd on
piano). The material included songs from the shows, pop standards and
classic standards interspersed with Dave's own brand of chat and stories.
